Civil Practice
The attorneys of Lieber Law Offices have handled and settled thousands of cases in court. Our attorneys have extensive experience representing businesses and individuals with contractual disputes, collection issues, personal injury cases, consumer protection matters, business transactions, and construction disputes.
Business and personal disputes arise frequently, sometimes with significant consequences. Our office has litigated all types of business and personal disputes in our combined 36 years of practice. Our attorneys are adept in quickly understanding varying and complex business concepts, made obvious by our time-tested results.
Every day, countless Californians become victims and suffer both physical injuries and financial losses. Some corporations frequently take advantage of individuals because they believe that people will not fight back. The attorneys at Lieber Law Offices pride themselves on not simply accepting the other side's position if a wrong has occurred. In addition, many lawyers claim to represent injured victims but are only interested in settling cases quickly. At Lieber Law Offices, our attorneys know that often, the only way to reach a fair resolution to a case is to go to trial.
Criminal Law
Everyone has the right to an attorney. If you are facing criminal charges, the attorneys of Lieber Law Offices have the knowledge and resources to represent you in court. Our attorneys have represented clients in various misdemeanor and felony criminal defense matters, including DUI, DMV proceedings, traffic violations, drug offenses, allegations of sexual misconduct, property crimes, domestic violence, assault, battery, and theft offenses.
All people charged with a felony or misdemeanor have the right to a speedy and public jury trial. At trial, the accused is presumed innocent and cannot be convicted until and unless the prosecutor proves guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. The accused also has the right to confront and cross-examine all witnesses who will testify for the prosecution. Finally, and sometimes most importantly, an individual accused of a crime has the right to remain silent. The government cannot force a defendant to make any statements that would incriminate him or her. Exercising this right cannot be held against the accused by the jury.
Recently, our office represented Thomas Riccio, a witness in the O.J. Simpson armed robbery case in Las Vegas, Nevada. Attorney Stanley P. Lieber negotiated with the Las Vegas District Attorney to secure Mr. Riccio immunity from prosecution in exchange for his truthful testimony. Stan has appeared on numerous television and radio broadcasts and has given many print interviews regarding the case.
